The beginning tarot reading class takes a storyteller’s approach and students are currently learning how to view the cards as story elements relating to the stories of their lives. The class starts with a 6-page document of one line summaries and an assignment to get everyone starting to gain greater familiarity with the cards if you have no familiarity. From there you build with daily practice on what you’ve learned and gain wisdom through firsthand experience.
The class works to get people to think of the cards as story pieces and their lives as the story. I have also shown people a little about how to connect with the spirit of the deck to do more intuitive readings.
All the students have reported increase in ability and understanding of the tarot.
